Feeling overwhelmed by worry? You’re not alone. Feeling overwhelmed by worry? You’re not alone.

It’s so easy to get caught up in the “what ifs” and the future unknowns, especially when you’re juggling work, family, and everything in between. But the truth is, much of the worry we carry isn’t in our control, and it doesn’t need to take up space in our minds.

Take a moment to shift your focus back to the present—right where you are. Breathe in slowly, feel the ground beneath your feet, listen to the sounds around you. Simple actions like these can help you reclaim peace and calm in the midst of the chaos. 💫

Remember, you don’t have to fix everything, and some things can’t be fixed. Just focus on what you can control in this moment, and give yourself permission to rest in the present. You deserve peace.

Recently, I attended an incredible business retrea Recently, I attended an incredible business retreat run by @drsophiebrock . There’s something so wonderful about stepping away from the day-to-day to focus on your growth and vision alongside like-minded women.

When you’re surrounded by others who understand your challenges and celebrate your wins (no matter how small), you feel more inspired, motivated, and supported.

I’m excited to have created a bespoke framework that beautifully captures how I work with clients and the transformation they experience. (I’ll share more on this soon)

But it is also a great reminder that we all need to find our people - the ones who get us and our challenges and who make us feel at ease when we show up authentically and in all the messiness of life.

It’s true that our villages are not the way they used to be and they don’t just appear magically. It takes intentional effort and time to find and nurture these relationships. But I promise you it’s worth making time for connection and daring to be vulnerable.

Have you found other working mothers who get you?

If you’re looking to meet more like-minded women, look out for my upcoming workshops. I love bringing women together in community. Send me a message if you’d like to be among the first to know about my working mother workshop series.

A huge thank you to the wonderful women who made this weekend so special. Hosts and creators @drsophiebrock and @katieparkerparenting , and business owners Mandy from @motherhood_and_matrescence , Lydia from Wildflower Psychology, Vanessa @fruitsaladfamilies , Mikayla from Mumma’s Natural Connection, and Tricia from @triciakingperinatal

Working mothers often come to me to prepare for th Working mothers often come to me to prepare for their next role. Sometimes, we can identify and close genuine skill and experience gaps. Sometimes, it’s a confidence gap where women underestimate their abilities and the value they bring or worry about being seen as engaging in too much self-promotion.

I also notice another type of gap.

Women tend to believe they must meet 100% of the listed requirements for the job before they can apply. And they want to know they can do those things exceptionally. Interestingly, a Hewlett Packard report stated that men typically apply for jobs when they meet only 60% of the listed qualifications.

Follow-up research by Tara Sophia Mohr, published in HBR, found that women were more likely to view job requirements as actual rules, not wishlist items and they followed these rules more strictly than men.

This difference affects who gets hired, promoted, and ultimately who fills leadership positions.

So next time you see a job ad, remember: those requirements might be more flexible than you realise. Maybe you are more ready than you think! 😊
